International Students Celebrate Eid al-Adha 1447 H at Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon

Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon (UMC) held the Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah prayer at Campus 2 on Wednesday (05/27/2026) with great solemnity. This year's worship had a different atmosphere as it was attended by dozens of international students from several countries in the Middle East and Africa.

The presence of foreign students is one of the attractions in the implementation of the Eid al-Adha prayer. They performed the worship together with hundreds of other worshipers, consisting of university leaders, lecturers, academic staff, students, and the surrounding community of Cirebon. Since 6:00 AM Western Indonesian Time, the prayer location has been filled with worshipers who came to celebrate Eid al-Adha congregationally.

Present at the event were leaders from Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon, including Vice Rector I Dr. Badawi, Vice Rector II Dr. Dewi Nurdiyanti, and Vice Rector III Dr. Bagus Nurul Iman.

The participation of international students in this religious activity reflects the increasing openness of UMC as a university that accepts students from various countries. The diversity of participants shows that this campus continues to grow as an educational institution with an inclusive academic environment and international appeal.

A resident who attended the prayer service admitted to being impressed by the large number of foreign students praying together on campus. According to them, the presence of international students adds a unique flavor and shows that UMC is becoming increasingly recognized by the global community.

This year's Eid al-Adha prayer carries the theme “Fostering the Spirit of Unity and Sacrifice.” Acting as an imam and khatib is Dr. H. Abdul Madjid Anshori, Secretary of the Education Assembly of PDM Cirebon Regency.
