The Faculty of Teacher Training and Education (FKIP) of Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon (UMC) held a workshop titled "Students' Academic Writing: From Ideas to Impact: Sharpening Quality Academic Writing Skills."
on Wednesday, May 20, 2026. This activity, held in the UMC Library Room, aims to improve the academic writing skills of students and lecturers, especially in compiling Book review as an opportunity for publication in a reputable international journal indexed by Scopus.
The workshop, which took place from 8:30 AM to 3:00 PM Western Indonesian Time, was attended by 52 participants. As a speaker, the committee invited Dr. Aldha Williyan, M.Pd., a lecturer in English Language Education at Siliwangi University, who has experience publishing book review articles in reputable international journals.
In his remarks, the Vice Rector III of UMC, Dr. Bagus Nurul Iman, M.Pd., stated that the ability to produce international scientific publications is one of the important indicators in improving the quality of higher education. According to him, scientific writing skills also contribute to the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).,
