Proud achievements have once again been accomplished by the Faculty of Law (FH) at Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon (UMC). Dr. Sarip, M.H., a lecturer from the Legal Studies Program, successfully won First Place in the Non-Technology Category of the Regional Innovation Competition at the Cirebon Regency level. The competition, organized by the Regional Development Planning, Research, and Development Agency (Bapelitbangda) of Cirebon Regency, serves as a platform to encourage the birth of various innovations capable of providing solutions for regional development.

The award was presented on Wednesday (11/5/2025) in an event attended by various elements of local government and competition participants. This success further adds to the list of achievements of Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon in the academic field and the development of innovations that benefit the community.

The Dean of the Faculty of Law at UMC, Dr. Elya Kusuma Dewi, S.H., M.H., expressed appreciation for the achievements of Dr. Sarip. According to her, this accomplishment is not only a source of pride for the lecturer concerned but also an important achievement for the Faculty of Law at UMC, especially after the Law Program successfully obtained an Excellent Accreditation rating.

He explained that the success reflects the commitment of FH UMC lecturers in developing innovations that are not only academically oriented but also capable of meeting various community needs. The spirit of producing impactful works is part of the university's efforts to support regional development through research and community service.

The Regional Innovation Competition is a competition aimed at fostering creative and applicable ideas as solutions to various local problems. Each participant is required to present innovations that have real benefits, can be effectively implemented, and contribute to improving the quality of services and community development.

On the same occasion, the Regent of Cirebon, H. Imron, appreciated the organization of the competition because it was deemed capable of fostering a culture of innovation in various sectors. He hopes that the spirit of innovation will not only develop in government and higher education environments, but also be introduced to the younger generation from school so that it becomes part of their character in developing the region.

Dr. Sarip's success is proof that the academic community of Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon is capable of producing innovations relevant to community needs. This achievement is expected to motivate lecturers and students to continue developing research, creating innovative solutions, and actively contributing to regional development and national progress through beneficial works.
