The Cirebon Regency Committee for Indonesian Folk Games and Traditional Sports (KPOTI), in collaboration with the Sports Science Study Program at Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon (UMC) to host a mini-outbound event as part of the #6 Inclusion Gathering, which took place in Durajaya Village, Greged Subdistrict, Cirebon Regency, on September 2–4, 2025. The event was part of an effort to strengthen the spirit of inclusion through folk games and traditional sports.

The #6 Inclusion Meeting, organized by Sasana Inklusi and the Indonesian Disability Advocacy Movement (SIGAB), had the theme “Commitment, Synergy, Action, and Diversity-Based Innovation for Golden Indonesia 2045.” Various activities are presented as spaces for collaboration, sharing experiences, and strengthening the movement towards a more inclusive society.

One of the agendas that attracted participants' attention was a mini outbound event that invited people with disabilities and other participants to play various traditional games. Besides being a recreational activity, this event also aimed to train motor coordination, motor skills, sportsmanship, and strengthen interaction among participants from diverse backgrounds.

The head of KPOTI Cirebon Regency and also the Vice Rector III of UMC, Dr. Bagus Nurul Iman, emphasized that folk games hold cultural value that needs to be continuously preserved. According to him, traditional sports are not only a cultural heritage but can also be utilized as a medium to strengthen togetherness and create inclusive spaces for all segments of society.

In line with that, the Secretary of KPOTI Cirebon Regency, Yayan Wardiyanto, M.Pd., stated that the activity prioritizes the spirit of learning together over competition. Through traditional games, participants are invited to appreciate cooperation, strengthen solidarity, and relearn the local wisdom values contained in each game.

Various traditional games are introduced in the mini outbound, including Indonesian chess, papancakan, bitingan, and sumpitan. All games are designed to be inclusive, ensuring that every participant has the opportunity to engage according to their individual abilities.

The collaboration between KPOTI Cirebon Regency and the Sports Science Study Program at UMC highlights the importance of synergy between community organizations and higher education institutions in supporting cultural preservation while building a more inclusive environment for people with disabilities.

Through these activities, traditional games are not only a means of entertainment but also an educational medium that strengthens togetherness, appreciates diversity, and reinforces the spirit of inclusion. The cheerful atmosphere created during the mini outbound is proof that the values of unity can be built through simple activities involving all elements of society.
