The Cirebon City Education Office, through the Basic Education Management Division, is holding a School Institutional Management Training Activity for the 2024 fiscal year with the theme “Improving the Management of Child-Friendly, Healthy, Safe, and Environmentally Conscious Schools”. The activity took place at Hotel Zamrud, Cirebon City, on March 6–7, 2024, and was attended by principals and coaching teams from various primary education institutions.

In the activity, a lecturer from the Faculty of Health Sciences (FIKES) at Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon, Yuniko Feby Husnul Fauzia, M.Kep., Ners., was present as a speaker with the material “Healthy, Nutritious, Physically Healthy, and Immunized School Campaign”. He explained the importance of implementing the healthy school concept, which not only focuses on the physical condition of the environment but also includes the mental and social health of the school community.

According to Yuniko, a healthy school is a learning environment that supports the creation of a clean, orderly, comfortable atmosphere, and upholds the value of kinship. With these conditions, all members of the school community are expected to carry out learning activities optimally and productively, both in the school environment and in daily life.

He emphasized that the implementation of the healthy school program is not solely the responsibility of the school, but also requires the support of various parties, including the Education Office, the Health Office, the local government, and the wider community. This synergy is needed to ensure the healthy school program can run sustainably and comprehensively.

Yuniko also highlighted the importance of school autonomy in managing health programs in accordance with applicable regulations and the active participation of all school residents. She hopes that every educational unit in Cirebon City will be able to consistently implement healthy school policies with a focus on aspects of nutrition, physical health, and immunization.

Furthermore, he emphasized that the main goal of education is not only to produce academically excellent students, but also a generation that is physically, emotionally, and spiritually healthy. Thus, schools are expected to be environments that support the holistic growth and development of children.

Besides Yuniko, the event also featured other speakers, including psychologist Citra Sabrina, M.Psi., who discussed preventing bullying in schools, and a representative from the Cirebon City Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) who presented material on disaster-resilient schools. Environmental activists also gave presentations on strengthening environmentally conscious school programs and the Adiwiyata program.

Through this activity, it is hoped that all education stakeholders in Cirebon City will further strengthen their commitment to creating healthy, safe, child-friendly, and sustainable schools.
