Cirebon – Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon, through its Institute for Research and Community Service, has officially commenced the implementation of its internal grant program for the 2025/2026 academic year. This significant milestone was marked by a symbolic signing of the Research and Community Service Grant Contracts on Monday, June 15, 2026. The solemn event took place in the Meeting Room of the Djuanda Building, 2nd Floor, at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon Campus.

Universitas Muhammadiyah Cirebon is disbursing a total of 154 grants covering research and community service for this academic year. This program represents the university's concrete commitment to funding innovative works by its lecturers to support the improvement of academic quality, increase the number of scientific publications, enhance lecturer competency in research and community service in accordance with their respective roadmaps, and make tangible, problem-solving contributions to the broader community.

The success of this major program launch is inseparable from the hard work of the internal team of the LPPM (Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengembangan Masyarakat) of Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon. The team, led by Tania Avianda Gusman, Zakkiyah, and Johan, has intensively prepared the entire series of this internal grant activities for three full months, from April to June 2026.

The three-month intensive preparation included the creation of a comprehensive planning timeline, rigorous proposal reviews, implementation mechanisms, a strict monitoring and evaluation (M&E) system, and acceleration strategies. This series of preparations was systematically designed to achieve the ultimate target of increasing the institution's SINTA (Science and Technology Index) score, thereby surpassing the University's Main Cluster.

The symbolic contract signing process was directly led by the Vice Rector II of Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon, Dewi Nurdiyanti. In her directive, she stated that this internal grant is an important stimulus for lecturers to continue innovating and producing quality academic outputs to support the achievement of the university's four main duties.

The signing was carried out symbolically by seven lecturers representing each faculty to affirm the commencement of all grant activities. They were Siti Alisa representing the Faculty of Law, Sastra Abijaya representing the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, Arrahman representing the Faculty of Health Sciences, Bayu Arisandi representing the Faculty of Engineering, Norma Bastian representing the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Rinni Indriyani representing the Faculty of Economics and Business, and Sri Maryati representing the Faculty of Islamic Religion.

The entire series of 154 research and community service programs officially kicks off with the signing of this contract. Tania and the LPPM team hope that the intended outputs, in the form of publications and final reports, will be achieved in accordance with the signed contracts. The LPPM of Muhammadiyah University of Cirebon is committed to continuously overseeing, monitoring, and evaluating the progress of the programs so that all output targets can be achieved optimally for the advancement of the institution.
